ABSTRACT: The impact of early childhood education on language skills is vital for understanding how early educational experiences shape children's verbal abilities. This study explores how early childhood education programs influence language skills development among young children. The objectives are to (1) assess improvements in children's vocabulary and communication skills, (2) evaluate the integration of language development activities in early childhood education curricula, and (3) examine changes in children's language engagement and proficiency. A survey design is employed to gather comprehensive data on the impacts of early childhood education on language skills. A purposive sample of 150 children from preschools in Rivers State was used. The case study focuses on a preschool renowned for its language development program. Findings revealed significant improvements in children's vocabulary and communication skills, the effectiveness of language development activities, and positive changes in children's language engagement and proficiency. Recommendations included integrating comprehensive language development activities into early childhood curricula and providing ongoing professional development for educators to enhance children's language skills.
